I'm prompted to post MJ's thoughts on dogs after reading today's article in the ST.
IMHO, he articulated his thoughts very well: and I share his dislike for dogs :

They just have so many problems, adults. They have been so conditioned by other people's thoughts and feelings. That's why I don't trust most dogs. It's not the dog. It's because people instill what they believe and all their anger and frustration is embedded in that dog and he becomes this vicious, crazy thing. And I don't know what kind of package he is bringing to me when he comes up to me and sniffs me. So it's like another adult. That's why I get afraid.

He kept many snakes, 3 elephants, macaws, llama, chimp.....except dogs. In the last few years of his life, he overcame his fear for dogs and kept a small dog for his children.

i fully agree with this principal of "practice more".... we only get better at our skills when we repeatedly engage in relevant activities... making mistakes and learning along the way...
there are very few things we do naturally well; such as breathing (for most people), but otherwise, all other skills are acquired only through repetitive efforts.

They forget that it's the artists who make the company, not the company who makes the artists. Without the talent, the company would be nothing but just hardware. And it takes a real good talent that the public wants to see.

The late King of Pop pioneered dance moves that looked mechanical and weren't, like the moonwalk, and at least one that looked mechanical and was: The forward-leaning maneuver from his "Smooth Criminal" video. The secret is all in the shoes.

Trying to lean beyond one's center of gravity normally leads to a giant, awkward step forward to retain balance, so to achieve the 45-degree angle he wanted, Michael and his dancers used special shoes as well as a trick in the stage floor. When the time came for the move, a peg-like aperture would protrude from the dance floor. The heel of the dancers' shoes featured a triangular cut out that could be hitched onto the peg, anchoring the dancers to lean much farther forward, and thus blowing the world's collective mind

ah...thanks for demystifying this move...i've always wondered how they could achieve this seemingly impossible feat... at first, i thought it must have been some post production editing by employing computer generation technique..

now, we know...

I'm surprised that this thread is still alive??? Ha,ha.
In Munich, he fell flat on his face when the apertures for his shoes failed to open up. Just before X'mas I received my 2 copies of the MJ Opus via FedEx and they really weigh tonnes , specifically all of 13.6 kg each.
I've yet to open the packages up.

(Happy NY 2010 to all forumers. I'm having problems again with my antique laptop. Don't have time to fix them. I see garbled pages of this forum. Don't know why it only affects this forum. I suppose I will fix it after the NY. Hope all of U huat really big in 2010)
