Hi mojo :D

Here we have MJ pictured with a panther, "Whatever it takes" to believe MJ is still alive   .

Image

Jackson morphed from a panther in this video (which was originally stripped from his Black/White music video because it was deemed violent). I think he drew some inspiration from Bruce Lee in this dance number. Jackson is very well read and sometimes I think he was skipping a 'ritual' dance (like those performed in Middle Eastern temples in ancient times. He was conveying both spiritual and social messages loudly in the video - KKK and immortality.

Dancing the Dream

And he wrote this accompanying poem too :-
Consciousness expresses itself through creation.
This world we live in is the dance of the creator.
Dancers come and go in the twinkling of an eye but the dance lives on.
On many an occasion when I'm dancing, I've felt touched by something sacred.
In those moments, I've felt my spirit soar and become one with everything that exists. I become the stars and the moon. I become the lover and the beloved.
I become the victor and the vanquished. I become the master and the slave.
I become the singer and the song. I become the knower and the known.
I keep on dancing and then, it is the eternal dance of creation.
The creator and creation merge into one wholeness of joy.

I keep on dancing and dancing.......and dancing, until there is only......the dance.......

What does 'Royal Arms' means in the video?

Hi iam802

I can only speculate that both Jackson and John Landis (who co-wrote the screenplay with MJ and directed both the "Thriller" and "Dancing the Dream" music videos) were referring to America's independence from Britain. The "Royal Arms" being the British Royal Family's Coat of Arms :
1776 - The Declaration of Independence was read from the courthouse steps, the royal arms were burned and the county's Liberty Bell was rung.

Good Gosh! I'm still at :-
Recipe 2 : "Get into the anatomy. Be a scientist. Dissect. Dissect"

From LaToYa Jackson's autobiography :-
"What makes humans different, LaToYa?"
"I don't know. Anything's possible."
"Well, I'm going to find out." He asked a doctor he knew to order him a full medical library. "But Michael," the man replied, a little taken aback,"these are professional books, meant only for physicians."
"Then order yourself another set at my expense, and let me have these."
.....
.....
"Shhhhh!" He peeked out the door to make sure no one overheard us.
"Is it a brain?"
I must admit to being curious - having never seen a brain before - and looked at the pickled gray mass floating in formaldehyde. It seemed....quite large.
Michael wouldn't say, but somehow I knew it was. "Where did you get it?"
"Oh, a doctor gave it to me," he answered nonchantly.
....
Gross! But to Michael, the brain and the body are miraculous creations, and not revolting at all. Following his recovery from a badly burnt scalp in 1984, he grew fascinated with how the body heals itself and received permission from some doctors to don surgical gown and mask and observe several operations.

Recipe 3 : "Start with yourself. Believe in yourself. Be true to yourself."

The historic moment @10 years old:-
Whatever I sing that's what I mean

And proving that the recipes work :-
Acceptance Speech at Bambi Award 2002, Germany

I've followed his career from "Ben" to "This Is It" and it is not difficult to discern his 'internalized' aspiration and mission to be true to himself:

One Day In Your Life : 1975

Todo Para Ti
