Is it season yet? I have not seen much on the streets. Usually when the June/July/August season is on the NTUC near my place will have durian sellers renting a spot in their fruits section - have not seen them recently.

durio...i was kidding...you said "lian huay"; ie ah lian ah huay.....get it?

anyways...go thru this thread from the start....there's some direction given by others to some malaysia kampung with good durians...

ok, i heard of one within KL city itself...abt 10 mins drive away from Twin Towers... u just need to goog some and u will come across all these solid stalls in malaysia... and by the way, even in RM, dont expect them to be any much cheaper than sgp...

Durio and Ucypmas

Last week I bought top quality durian, 'Butter', very fragrant and smooth. According to the stall-holder, butter and mao shan wang are of the same species, butter is from JB, Mao Shan Wang from Pahang. They have been calling this species butter for many, many years and therefore stick to the same name. If you want to know the location of the stall, read my post on page 14 of this thread. I am not related to the stall-holder in any way except as customer and vendor.
