Was at Geylang couple nights back.
While there were durians at the store, I did not see any people eating them. Price was also lower compared to June.
Is Dec/Jan a durian season? Or is this part of the belt tightening effect?

i recall that durian trees fruit naturally biannually...Jun/Jul and Dec/Jan timeframe...but i have normally taken to durians mid year....

obviously, this is a method (see strings) that farmers use to prevent the ripen fruit from dropping onto the ground .....
