the reward of a very short hemline is the attention given vs the risk of sending the wrong message ....

when more women do this, it could be a testimony that the society is enjoying a high degree of peace and societal stability; ie lesser sexual crime rate... and this could be that employment is high, people are not depressed and indirectly indicates the cycle of the economy at that juncture..

the shorter the skirt, the better the times....oh yeah..... 8-)

Or it could be: shorter skirt = less cloth = cheaper = recessionary times? :D

haha...GR...i guess, you dont shop for your wife and so perhaps unaware that where women clothings are concerned, the lesser the material, the more expensive it is.... eg...bikini, g-strings, strapless bras...can be very expensive items...

When most value investors are thinking that timing the market bull and bear might be possible, the bottom is near.

Am I contradicting myself? :lol:

Set 2 portions of funds under a name Called it ambiguous fund of funds.

When you time it and if it fails, u rename it as value-investing funds. To play safe, always refer your ambiguous fund of funds as timing funds unless proven otherwise! lol problem solved :mrgreen:

Dear all,

Before I repeat myself ... on the NAV figures, just like to highlight that these figures are from the SGX latest qtr (2Q-08) filing by the banks... their 3Q-08 is coming up, dunno will be better or worse? :)
DBS 3Q-08 - to be announced on 7-Nov-08
OCBC 3Q-08 - to be announced on 5-Nov-08
UOB 3Q-08 - to be announced on 31-Oct-08

eh... for the record, I'm still not vested in any of them...

* - Prices as at 23-Oct, 11:20, from SGX website.

DBS
Price = 10.92*
NAV = 12.78
P/Nav = 0.85

OCBC
Price = 5.59*
NAV = 6.41
P/Nav = 0.87

UOB
Price = 13.96*
NAV = 12.63
P/Nav = 1.11

have fun,
fc
