last weekend, i went for some liew lians.... compared to the week before, i was able to discern that the quality of the fruits is not as good as the prior session...
i overheard the owner of the durian stall saying to a group of customers that the Mao Shan Wang trees are beginning to produce lesser fruits...as it is coming to the end of the season...
sadly, we will have to await until Dec before we can have abundant and great quality durians again.
fyi, i past by the malay village at eunos this week and saw a vendor selling those Mao Shan Wangs for $8/kg... i thought this is one of the cheapest around here...
so....this thread may actually get jettisoned as a result of no activity....have mercy have mercy...
