A Website for Bargain Airfare

The new website Fareness.com aims to reduce your bargain-hunting clicks while solving your destination ambivalence.

Standard airfare searches between two destinations show the lowest fares within a range of dates — which could be months — allowing those with flexibility to find the best fare.

For those with no specific destination in mind, the site allows them to search “Europe,” “outdoors” or “family,” which results in a range of flight options in a variety of appropriate destinations.

For example, for travelers who know they want to go to the beach but can’t decide between Maui and Cancun, Fareness will show the lowest-priced options within a range of dates at a number of beach destinations.

The company says its search engine can offer up to nearly 200 departure dates and 10 trip lengths with one search.

Searches include the major American carriers American, Delta and United, as well as Southwest, Alaska, Virgin America and others.

Once users find a flight they like, the company directs them to Priceline to purchase the ticket.

Never Drink This on a Plane

Next time you're flying and the flight attendant asks if you'd like a drink, skip the soda.

You should NEVER drink soda — or carbonated beverages — on an airplane. The gas expands in your digestive system, giving you what flight attendants call, “jet belly,” a big bloated stomach that can hang around for days.

The only thing worse than "jet belly" is making this #1 afternoon diet mistake.

By Brittany Jones-Cooper

The AHLA says travelers lose $1.3 billion every year on booking scams that include rogue sites posing as real hotels, taking your credit card number, and leaving you without a reservation.

Two sites to watch out for are ReservationCounter and ReservationDesk
