Are You The Master Of Your Destiny? By Michael Lee

How strong are you?

I'm not asking if you can carry 150 lbs. of weight. What I'm after is your strength of character. How resilient are you to hang on to your dreams amidst the raging forces of discouragement and criticisms?

There are far too many individuals who never get to experience the joy of attaining their desires because other people's influence has significantly (and sometimes negatively) affected their crucial decisions.

Are there instances in your life when other people said that you should not continue your plans because they're never gonna work? What did you do? Did you continue your endeavors or did you just follow their command?

If you always adhere to other's beliefs and opinions even though they are contrary to yours, you're just torturing yourself. It's like you don't have a mind of your own. You're like a shadow following the moves of someone else.

You may listen to other people's advices, but never let themcontrol you. If their advices would contribute to your success and well being, then by all means follow them. But if they would hinder you and stray you away from what you
really want in life, then you've got to make a stand and pursue your heart's aspirations.

Sure there would be criticisms. But if you always avoid them, then you will never be truly happy.

As one famous person said, "There is a sure way to avoid criticisms, be nothing and do nothing. This remedy never fails." True enough.

Take my case.

When I was in first year college, my dad wanted me to shift my course to Physical Therapy because it was in demand in the United States at that time. But I wanted to continue my studies in Accountancy. I remained firm with my decision and after some negotiations they finally gave in.

Then there's my love life. Chinese tradition states that Chinese people marry their own kind. (No offense) But I fell madly in love with this Filipino girl. Despite all the criticisms, discouragement, and harsh words (pardon me), I defended my love for her. Right now we're going strong and my relatives have respected my decision.

You see, if I have given up easily in any of the two scenarios, I would've deprived myself of joy and contentment in my life.

Sometimes other people's words would cut like a knife. But never be disheartened. Listen to the voice inside of you. We will never be able to satisfy everybody because each of us is unique. We have our own distinct traits and values. Respect for each other's opinions should be upheld.

With that said, I would like to leave this final message that sums it all up. Follow your heart and happiness will follow.

The Hidden Superpowers Of Your Mind By Michael Lee

The mind is an infinite wonder. It has the fantastic ability to transmute your desires into their physical counterparts. You can do anything that your mind can conceive, as long as you have the belief and will power to back it up.

Take the case of cancer patients who were given placebo pills. These are just plain pills that have no healing capabilities. So how did they get well?

The power came from their thoughts. They were told that these pills contain the highest amounts of cancer-fighing ingredients which can effectively cure them in a matter of days.

See how powerful your mind is?

They believed that their health will be restored. They have registered in their minds that these pills will cure them of their illnesses. In the process, the belief embedded within their subconscious came to reality.

So how can you use your mind to achieve your dreams? One of the most effective ways is to use the "as if" principle.
Act as if you are the person you want to be. Act as if you arealready in possession of whatever you long to have.

So what do you want to be? You want to be a lawyer, doctor, athlete, or newscaster? Think, act, and feel like one. You'll be much closer to your goal if you're constantly intact with your objective. Be obsessed with your dream. It doesn't mean that if you want to be Superman you'll fly out the window. Not a good idea!

It's not enough that you act like one, but you have to actually ACT. Do what needs to be done. You might get so lost in your fantasy dream world that you've forgotten to take some action.Let your visions encourage and motivate you to actualize your purpose.

The problem with the people of the modern world is that they are too preoccupied with worries, anxieties, and negative emotions. As a result, they are adversely affecting their state of health.

White lies have become prevalent nowadays in order to ease the burdens or to persuade others to do things that they thought are unattainable.

There was once a weight lifter who couldn't lift weights in excessof 300 lbs. So his coach devised a clever idea and told him that the barbell he has to carry weighs only 300 lbs. With all his might, the weightlifter managed to put it above his head. After he puts it down, the coach told him that he has just lifted 350lbs. of weight! It's all in the mind!

A famous person once said, "Whenever you think you can or you can't, you're right."

If you think you are poor, then you are; unless you properly condition your thoughts to the positive mindset. I know it's hard to think rich if your environment is not conducive to such way of thinking. Use your imagination then! Visualize your house to be a mansion, your old car to be a limousine,...Well you get the picture.

There is absolutely no limit with what the mind can achieve. But you have to combine belief, will power, and action with positive thinking in order to arrive at your intended destination.

Where's Your Attention?

Everyone holds a mix of opinions, beliefs, and expectations on a myriad of subjects. When you give your attention to something, that Vibration becomes activated and comes to the forefront. And the more often you focus upon it, and cause it to come to the forefront, the more dominant it becomes.

You have the option of making a good-feeling aspect of another person dominant in your Vibration or of making a bad-feeling aspect dominant, and whatever aspect you regularly choose will become the Vibrational basis of your relationship.

When your happiness becomes your highest priority, and so you deliberately keep active the best-feeling aspects of others, you will train your Vibrational frequency in such a way that they will not be able to rendezvous with you in any way that does not feel good when it happens.

The only way for anyone to be consistently happy is to understand that the feeling of happiness is simply about alignment with the Source within. When you are in your Vortex of Creation, you are lined up with all-that-you-have-become and with everything that you have asked for. There simply is no substitute for that alignment.

Complaining about anything holds you in the place of refusing to receive the things you've been asking for.

Justifying about anything holds you in the place of refusing to let in the very things that you've been asking for.

Blaming someone holds you in the place of refusing to let in the things that you've been asking for.

Feeling guilty, feeling angry, it doesn't matter what you call it; it is a refusal, not a conscious one.

You're asking; you can't help but ask. The Universe is yielding; it must yield. It's a big question, folks: why aren't you letting it in?

"Here is the basic rule for winning success. Let's mark it in the mind and remember it. The rule is: Success depends on the support of other people."

Make a decision and then make the decision right.

Line up your Energy with it. In most cases, it doesn't really matter what you decide. Just decide.

There are endless options that would serve you enormously well, and all or any one of them is better than no decision.

In order to help someone who's in a very different vibrational frequency, you've got to adjust your vibrational frequency so that they can hear you.

And if we were standing in your physical shoes, we would not adjust our vibrational frequency down—ever.

We would not introduce more resistance in our vibration for any reason whatsoever, because disconnecting yourself from resources does not give them more to eat.

The Unseen Benefits of Doing Good By Josh Hinds

I dare say that every day brings with it the opportunity to share a kind act with another. Yet, if we're honest with ourselves we can all recount a time where we have neglected to do so. With life moving so fast, and all the demands it can place on us it is no wonder we end up forgetting to pass out those kind gestures from time to time.

Unfortunately, if we neglect to do so we also miss out on the many benefits which are afforded to those who take the time to do so. Not the least of which is the unique feeling of happiness and fulfillment.

We justify our not giving a kind word or act by telling ourselves all the reasons why the other person is undeserving of our favorable treatment. What is perhaps most sad is that when you give of yourself in the form of some kindness you can't help but benefit from your gift of kindness as well. It is a strange phenomena indeed.

As you give, so you receive. It's as though you put yourself into a mode that allows you to better receive in kind what you have given. I don't claim to fully understand how it works, but I've seen it come to pass enough to know there's truth in it. I imagine you've seen it happen that way too, right?

There is something very empowering about taking the focus off yourself, if even for just a moment -- and placing it on another strictly with the intention of making them feel good or empowering them. Think back to a time where someone gave you an encouraging word.

Consider also how it made you feel when you passed along that encouraging word to another. It made you light up just a bit even though you weren't the one on the receiving end didn't it?

That's the essence of what I'm suggesting here. Throughout your day make a conscious effort to give deserving praise. If you will make the choice to do so you can transform the place you work and live. You can transform the interactions you have with those in your life -- both personally and professionally. It's not magic, rather it comes to pass over time, sometimes slow, and other times they appear to pass in the blink of an eye.

The benefits and the satisfaction we gain from doing acts of kindness are vast -- and often beyond what we can possibly comprehend. Life truly is like a boomerang, the more good you throw out, the more you shall find that it makes its way back to you.

The point isn't to be perfect. You will have moments where you will miss the mark. Where you will look back and know you should done this or that. That's what I like to refer to as being human. We're not perfect and I dare say we couldn't be even if we tried. That said, such a pursuit is worthwhile, for as Les Brown so wisely said, "shoot for the moon and if you miss you will still be among the stars" -- and that my friend is worth considering.

Whenever you're trying to understand anything that is as huge as all of the Universe, or as huge as all eternity, all you have to do is bring it back to something simple that you do understand, and ask the questions and apply them.

And then you can understand the Whole. Everything that's true of the Whole is true of the individual.

Getting From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be By Chris D'Cruz

Dr. Joe Vitale, motivational speaker and author, often says: "the fastest way to get where you want is to be happy with where you are."

Believe it or not, this mindset works! It may take some changes and soul searching on your part, but in the end, it'll be more than worth it to adopt this positive mentality.

While you should strive to make your dreams come true, concentrate, also, on yourself and your journey. When you spend less time wishing things were different and more time accepting what you've got, you've already found a sense of peace and happiness right there.

6 tips that can help you become who you want to be right now:

1. Feel gratitude. When you concentrate on the big picture, it's easier to exhibit feelings of gratitude. When you're grateful, you remain positive and appreciative of every joyful moment in life.

Sometimes people get too caught up in a sense of entitlement, which leads to negative feelings. Concentrating on gratitude, instead, will get you where you desire.

2. Be optimistic. Some say that life is all about optimism. And it's true! An optimistic attitude is one of the few things you need to succeed.

If you're trying to achieve a concrete goal, optimism will help you accomplish it.

If you're trying to change your mindset, optimism will make the task easier.

Optimism can be the driving force that keeps you going.

3. Exhibit the traits you desire. It was Gandhi who said that you should be the change you want to see in the world.

With these wise words in mind, you can replace wanting with some bold action. With some persistence and perseverance, you can make it happen.

4. Adopt a prosperous mindset. Take a moment to determine what prosperity means to you. Are you hoping for money, a fulfilling career, or a relationship that lasts a lifetime?

Know what you want, then adopt the right mindset. Once you do, you've then set yourself in the right direction toward your goals.

5. Find the silver lining. As you go through life, you will no doubt realize that things are not always going to go your way. But even in tough times you need to keep your chin up.

Instead of allowing negativity to consume your life, seek out the silver lining. This fresh attitude can be the difference between being held hostage and achieving your goals.

6. Take small steps. When the place you're going seems far away and unachievable, it's important to break it down into small steps.

Give yourself an achievable goal with a realistic time frame. Break that one down into smaller goals.

When you avoid getting overwhelmed, you'll gain the confidence to persevere.

You're Already There

It's a good idea to practice one of these tips at a time until you've incorporated them into your life. Perhaps you can spend a week perfecting one strategy and, then the next week, add another one to your repertoire while continuing with the first one. Soon enough, you'll be a natural at all of them!

Once you choose a powerful and positive mindset, you'll find that you've already achieved much of what you want.

Just remember: You already have the traits, mindset, and lifestyle you desire, and you know that success is inevitable, but only when you have the will to break through the obstacles in your mind!
