Capacity for Truth

As mindfulness practitioners, first and foremost, we build the capacity to hold the truth of suffering.

Touching Love

Although we may not always live in a steady state of loving feeling, through practice we can learn to touch it many times a day.

Staying with the Unpleasant

Practice offers the possibility of staying with an unpleasant experience, bringing curiosity and kindness.

Peace Starts Within

One need not wait until war is declared and bullets are flying to work for peace.

A more constant and equally urgent battle must be waged each day against the forces of one’s own anger, carelessness and self-absorption.

Open Sky State of Mind

Let your mind be open like the sky and then let all the thoughts float freely like clouds.

Let yourself remain in that state and then you will actually experience being aware of awareness, in your day-to-day life.

My philosophy is: Life is hard, but God is good.

Try not to confuse the two.

The Value of Contemplation

There is no change without contemplation.

The whole image of Buddha under the Bodhi tree, says here is an action taking place that may not appear to be a meaningful action.

On the spiritual path, there’s nothing to get and everything to get rid of.

Transforming the Present Moment

The present moment is never simply to be accepted as it is.

Because part of it is constructed in the present, it can always be improved; it can even be turned into the path to the end of suffering.
