Yes, that seems to be the trend which is not a bad one.
Something common from all these demonstrations:-
1) when people dont have real democracy
2) when they dont have a limit to the term of the leaders
3) when their sons and families starts taking over
4) when unemployment is high
5) When there's a large young population
6) when food inflation hurts the poor
When you push too hard, the people will push back, especially when they have nothing to lose anymore ...
It's all about "how much you made when you were right" & "how little you lost when you were wrong"
