I strongly recommend this PRC Drama, <暗香> ("An Xiang"). I saw the preview of this drama while taking the Shanghai metropolis train. It will be aired in Shanghai during Oct.
I spent my entire day yesterday; watching 33 episodes and occasionally, looking at the skyline of Shanghai metropolis city from my balcony here ... (TOL: my shanghai theme ... ha ...)
The drama depicts the story of "Cheng" family (程家) amidst the political and financial struggle of preserving their cultural roots in Chinese Nanyang Enterprise (å—æ´‹çš„åŽäººä¼ä¸š). Not forgetting, the plot has an intertwined love story featuring our idol, Huang Xiao Ming in a tender, passionate portrayal with some female leads. Set in three time frames; starting on why/ how Chinese immigrants went abroad to mine gold during the Gold Rush ...
