An Inspirational Poem
Truths For Living
By William Arthur Ward

The more generous we are, the more joyous we become.
The more cooperative we are, the more valuable we become.

The more enthusiastic we are, the more productive we become.
The more serving we are, the more prosperous we become.

The more outgoing we are, the more helpful we become.
The more curious we are, the more creative we become.

The more patient we are, the more understanding we become.
The more persistent we are, the more successful we become.
"If a speculator is correct half of the time, he is hitting a good average. Even being right 3 or 4 times out of 10 should yield a person a fortune if he has the sense to cut his losses quickly on the ventures where he has been wrong" - Bernard Baruch

A good reputation and respect are worth much more than silver and gold.

An ancient piece of wisdom: It's healthy to be content, but envy can eat you up.

we don't grow in creativity, we grow out of it.

- as we've to grow up, we run away from our creativity, excitement & e sense of wonder.

If you can't take a small loss, sooner or later you will take the mother of all losses. from excerpt "hussein makes a bad trade" - The new market wizards.

From Jesse Livermore

There is nothing like losing all you have in the world for teaching you what not to do. And when you know what not to do in order to lose money, you begin to learn what to do in order to win. Did you get that? You begin to learn!

It is foolhardy to make a second trade, if your first trade shows you a loss. Never average losses. Let this thought be written indelibly on your mind.

A prudent speculator never argues with the tape. Markets are never wrong opinions often are.

it took me a while to understand what he meant when he referred to "tape".. it's really the price/volume action at all time frames; ie intraday, daily, weekly and longer periods.

imagine, in his days, he had to pencil down all the price movements..and colour them based on his own "secret" codes, so that they begin to tell him a story.... he was never afraid to show others, these markings next to the prices drawn on the board...bcos, he knows that others can see the figures but still ill comprehend what they mean... only to JL, it was crystal clear what the tape was telling him....

for those who actually follow very closely the intraday movements of traded instrument, and long enough, these do unfold their intentions...up, down or sideways...
