IT Hardware – China
Updates From Recent Channel Checks And Results Preview

Our recent checks across the handset supply chain show that the majority of the supply
chain is still very cautious and most companies we checked with expect the
smartphone value chain to remain sluggish in 1H23.

However, most agree that the sector will likely bottom out in 2023 while interest in specification upgrades is resuming for Android brands.

We prefer the Android supply chain over Apple’s supply chain as Android should enjoy a better recovery from a low base. Maintain MARKET WEIGHT.
