I thought Neptune is in charge...

So maybe anything with "Neptune" in it's name will be spared eg. Neptune Court, Neptune Road, Lorong 28 Neptune, Neptune Parade, Neptune Point, Neptune MRT, Nep Chu Kang etc ...
It's all about "how much you made when you were right" & "how little you lost when you were wrong"

Didn't know that there is flood (or for that matter, rain) yesterday.

==
The flood is back: Knee-high waters hit Bukit Timah Road

STOMPer Ram was caught in a flood as he was passing along Bukit Timah Road at about 3.45pm today (Sep 22).

Notes:
- Flood in Bt Timah is always a force to reckon for many years. Many years back, one of my exams was even postpone as students cant' reach the schools.
- But, is it getting worse in now in Bt Timah?
- Didn't they widen the drains etc?
1. Always wait for the setup. NO SETUP; NO TRADE

2. The trend will END but I don't know WHEN.

Orchard road to be raised

Notes:
See how things are.

If people don't make noise and accept some lame excuses, do you think they would have work on it?

It is always human nature (be it a thousand dollar man on the street or a multi-million meeneestar) to take the easy way out when we are confront with an issue.

1 in 50 years, clear some debris..etc..and things will go away.

Once they have sit down and think through the issues, they have to acknowledge the 'what-if'.
eg. what if environment have change? Heavier rain, more monsoon etc. What if there is a big impact from the barrage?

Let this serve as a good reminder to all of us. Before we give the simple excuse to wriggle our way out of a situation, think. Think hard. Think different. Then response.

very good advice... :!:

it's normal and habitual for us to settle into our comfort zones... hence we see older folks as being 死版版.. one day, as we get old, the young ones will oso see us as such, unless, we keep up with newer and more open thoughts...we evolve..it's natural...

as i start communicating with young people, the late teens and early twenties, i can sense a mark difference in their general attitude towards life and social skills, as say, compared to my days...and i'm sure, my parents would have felt the same about my generation when we were the young ones...

so, i conclude, the older people should not overly impose their ideas too obtusely onto the younger people... they wont understand and probably wont accept either...

but we change, bcos our world is in a constant flux... of cos, some core principals should be maintained...but for the less critical issues, let's learn to grow with the times...or face being "outdated" and become 死版版
