Com'on in when boredom strikes!

Postby kennynah » Wed Aug 06, 2008 7:47 pm

wah...shiok man...i can imagine the aroma, texture and taste...

ya lor....coming to an end already the natural season....must wait until Dec...but usually, Dec's harvest not so good...wet season potentially spoil most durians..

actually, last weekend...makan with wife at geylang... i used to describe my fav stall as being opposite Lor9..... cock up...truth is, it is exactly opposite Lor13...

when we were there, feasting on the D24s, there was a huge commotion along Lor13... got kungfu scene..and later ambulence came...presumably, man down.... dunno lah.... most of us, just continue with our makaning... all others things....ignore....hahaha...

Singapore magnate pleads guilty in kidney case

A Singapore retail magnate pleaded guilty to two charges related to the city-state's first organ trading case, local radio reported.

Tang Wee Sung, whose Tangs department store sits in the prime Orchard Road tourist and shopping belt, pleaded guilty to entering an illegal arrangement to purchase a kidney, 938Live reported.

He also pleaded guilty to falsely declaring that the donor was a distant relative, it said.

Tang could receive up to three years in jail and a fine on the most serious charge of the false declaration, the radio report said.

It quoted Tang's lawyer as saying he committed the offences because he is seriously ill and was desperate to survive.

Gong Li was absent for her 'swearing-in' ceremony as a Singaporean. Is any1 speculating abt the reason for it? As Singapore does not permit dual citizenship, she will have to renounce her Chinese citizenship at the local Chinese embassy. I wonder if China, like Singapore (in the case of the 3 Norwegian brothers) rejected her renunication
