Life is like a game of cards. The hand that is dealt you represents determinism; the way you play it is free will.

The geat blessing of mankind are within us and within our reach; but we shut our eyes, and like people in the dark, we fall foul upon the very thing we search for, without finding it.

Unrest of spirit is a mark of life; one problem after another presents itself and in the solving of them we can find our greatest pleasure.

To a worldly man, a God-intoxicated person will appear mad and he will laugh at him for it.

But to the God-intoxicated man, the worldly appear insane, foolish, misled and blind.

Of all the insanities that harass man, God-madness is the least harmful, the most beneficial.

The world has suffered untold damage due to its "mad" rulers and "mad" guides; but nothing but harmony, peace, brotherliness and love have come out of the 'God-madness' of man!

Hmmm.... should I move to the Conspiracy thread ? :P

Talking about the Devil, not sure whether you have read the "Conversations with God" series.

In it, God supposedly said that there is no such thing as the Devil.

The Devil was actually created by Men to seize power from the Women. In the past, women used to rule the world. At that time, their version of God was also a feminine entity.

So men created an a male devil, a spoilt brat. So the only way to control this spoiled brat, is to have a more powerful male entity. Hence, God in the form of a male entity was created. And only men understands what a male god wants and only men knows how to communicate with this male god..

Or something like that... Would recommend you to read the books..

thanks W....let me share with you my primary thoughts on the topic of religious reads... i am very very very careful when reading religious materials and the choice of materials...

no offence to you Winston, and I know you do not mean any offence as well...

I will NEVER read this book, just by the fact that it contains this statement....

God most definitely know that the devil (and it should NEVER be accorded a Capitalisation) exists... this is very clear to every Christian who has ever said the Lord's Prayer...

Ha Ha... we are violating our own rules of discussing religion in public.

Anyway, I prefer to keep an open mind on religion. I have no problem reading any spiritual book. At the same time, I will also question all beliefs, all traditions etc ...

Having said that, I did have an unforgettable spiritual experience 14 years ago. It was pure love, very warmth and very bright. There must have been a rapture and it was not a dream. Have not experienced that feeling again since. That experience is also not too different from those experienced by people who has died and came back...

Ok, I will not discuss any more religious experience or books. This was too tempting on a Saturday morning.. :)

and if i am also allowed to speak of this for the last time...(for now...hahaha)...

There must have been a rapture and it was not a dream. Have not experienced that feeling again since.

i must say, that i too have such a similar encounter....later i came to learn that it is called Prevenience of Grace.... it is a Gift granted upon all of us....some will choose to receive it and others not.
