Not every lib is swee swee one.

If u want to borrow movie & musical, try esplandae lib. (but dun expect block buster)
If u want borrow audios, try woodlands or central lib.
If u want more magz, try cck or woodlands.
If u want tech bks, bishan lib..
Or just causal visit.. then heartland lib..
If u want to watch gals, then drink coffee at the galera there always got students... Damn.. nowadays FT students good life.. I want to drink star bucks i must go to work, slog...

The one great investment is actually pay 40+ bucks for 1 year membership to borrow audio/musical/movie
Tempered.

Finished the book Who Will Cry When You Die? Life Lessons from the Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma.

It contains a total of 101 short articles written by the author. The articles are generally only 1-2 pages long and contains an uplifting message each.

I have read a couple of Sharma's books, including The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari and The Greatness Guide.

All are easy reads and uplifting on the spirit and I enjoyed the book.

Available at NLB.

Still working thro' The Wisdom of Crowds and waiting for The Tipping Point to arrive upon reservation :D

This is what's good with Spore. Can borrow books for free...

If not, then you have to fork out Sin$30 to Sin$50 for a book everytime u wanna read ..
It's all about "how much you made when you were right" & "how little you lost when you were wrong"

haha, I agree with you. Getting the premium plan for the whole family is probably the best investment I made, in terms of returns.

My son reads about 3 books a day and I read about 2-3 books a week. Between us, we probably recouped our investments within the week.. :D

I cheapo lah, can borrow I borrow. If not, just buy from Amazon.

Just stepped into The Esplanade library for 1st time this week. very suah kuh...don't know we can read books/newspaper with nice marina bay view here although there is no investment books here.... but with IR coming, not sure if national library board still can afford the rental here or not or will it face the same fate as the previous library at ngee ann city(used to be my favourite reading place while my wife was busy shopping).
