CATHAY PAC AIR Sees Mar Jet Fuel Prices Double from Previous 2 Mths, Pledges to Release Details on Fuel Surcharge Hike as Soon as Possible
CATHAY PAC AIR (00293.HK) has released its 2025 results.
CEO Ronald Lam disclosed that the main impact of Middle East tensions on the airline lies in fuel prices, with jet fuel prices doubling in March compared with the average levels in January and February.
Lam also mentioned that CATHAY PAC AIR will announce details of the fuel surcharge adjustment as soon as possible.
As for fuel hedging, CFO Rebecca Sharpe said that last year's hedging ratio was about 30%, and there are no plans to change the mechanism.
