Not vested. From DBS:-

Raffles Education has entered into an agreement with Khazanah, the investment holding arm of the Malaysian
Government, to sell 10% of OUC for RMB300m. OUC, subsidiary of Raffles Ed, owns the Oriental University City.

The deal values OUC at RMB3bn. Raffles Ed will realize an estimated gain of S$27.8m from the transaction. The deal is positive to Raffles Ed as
1) the vote of confidence from Khazanah validates the long-term growth prospects of OUC and
2) proceeds from the deal would help Raffles Ed to pay off the outstanding payables relating to the
acquisition of OUC

Once bitten, twice shy.

A leopard cant change it's spots so soon.

Whenever I invest in a family run business, the track record of the owners are very important.

The whole world is my osyster. Why would I want to waste my time and energy on someone who has a patchy track record ?

Raffles Edu mulls setting up campus at Iskandar

By JOYCE HOOI

RAFFLES Education Corporation Limited will be collaborating with Education@Iskandar Sdn Bhd - a wholly-owned subsidiary of Iskandar Investment Berhad - to study the feasibility of establishing a multi-institutional education campus in Iskandar Malaysia.

The development will be named 'Raffles University Iskandar' and will include the launch of Raffles University as part of the first phase.

Both parties intend to eventually form a joint venture company in Malaysia to build and operate Raffles University Iskandar.

The proposed Raffles University will be developed on a 65-acre plot of land and aims to enroll about 5,000 students within the first five years.
